New Era Public School organised its Annual Prize Distribution on May 11, 2018 in the school auditorium. The evening began with the lighting of lamp by the Founder Principal and Director Mrs. Usha Chopra, the Principal Mrs. Vandana Chawla and the Director of New Era Public School,  Dwarka Mr Rohit Chopra. The prize distribution was followed by a cultural programme. Students were awarded for academic excellence as well as achievement in co-curricular activities.Mrs. Chopra encouraged and congratulated the winners.Mrs. Chawla inspired the students to strive for excellence in every aspect of life.

The cultural programme comprised renditions by the orchestra, choir and tabla. The orchestra brought together 24 talented students from classes 6-12, who played a fusion of various instruments. The choir comprised 115 students,  who sang a melodious song about the importance of peace and harmony. A group of 15 students presented various taals on tabla. The annual production by the name of “Taqseem-e- Hind” was also staged. The theme revolved around the violence which followed the Partition and the prejudices that manifest themselves in the metropolitan cities even today. The play concluded with a pledge to bring all sections of the community together, so that the society can move ahead on the way to progress.

The play was a tribute to all those who have lived through the Partition and are still carrying the burden with them.

    Word Wizard

    Word Wizard competition was organized for students of classes III, IV and V on the 9th and 10th of May, 2018 to test the English language skills. A preliminary round was held in the classes for the selection of the students. 4 students from each section participated .The auditorium buzzed with enthusiasm as the young students took part in the competition. The rounds for the English Quiz were Spell well, Grammar round, Visual Round, Unscramble Round and Rapid Fire Round. Present on the occasion, the Founder Principal and Director, Mrs Usha Chopra congratulated the participants and encouraged them to read books to enhance their knowledge and creativity.

      Labour day Special Assembly

       A special assembly for Labour Day was conducted on 1st May, 2018. The students spoke about dignity of labour and respecting people who work hard, whether it is the maids or guards or gardeners of the school. They recited a poem and sang a song, emphasizing on the fact that all people work hard and play an important part in a society. The Director, Mrs. Usha Chopra graced the occasion and encouraged the students to be respectful towards all. The students also gave cards to the school maids to thank them for all that they do for us.
