Every year, New Era Public School, Mayapuri, celebrates the Republic Day with great zeal and excitement. It is a day to acknowledge the sacrifices of our unsung heroes and rededicate ourselves to building a stronger and better India. The school organised a special assembly to mark India’s 70th Republic Day. The theme of this year's celebrations was the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the nation - Mahatma Gandhi.

The celebrations began with the high spirited students from the primary wing who performed on the foot tapping number- ‘Kar Har Maidan Fateh’. Complementing their spirit, students from the senior wing showcased their talent by playing a jugal bandi on the tabla. 

The senior choir gave a scintillating performance on the songs dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. The highlight of their performance was the Xylophone as it added to the beauty of their performance. The senior dance troupe dedicated their performance to the father of the nation, on the song – ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’.

The Founder Principal and Director, Mrs. Usha Chopra and the Principal, Mrs. Vandana Chawla addressed the students and encouraged them to imbibe the virtues embodied by Mahatma Gandhi and apply them to their lives.

The assembly concluded with a beautiful rendition of the national anthem.


    The NEPS family came together to bid adieu to class XII and wish them well for their future endeavours.

     The farewell, organised by class XI on 25th January 2019, proved to be an exciting and overwhelming day for class XII. The function began with a havan, held in the school auditorium to invoke divine blessings for the outgoing batch.

     This was followed by a small video presentation encapsulating their enriching journey in the school by the computer department which touched the students. A skit reliving the moments pent by the outgoing batch in the school warmed their hearts. This was followed by a group of musicians and dancers from class XI, who mesmerised the audience with their performance.

     The outgoing Head Boy Ishan Chourasia and Head Girl Vidhi Narula relived their memories in school and thanked the teachers one last time in their official capacity.

     Students of class XII danced to their hearts delight after the cultural programme and reminisced about their time in school fondly. They thanked class XI for organising a wonderful farewell for them.

     The Founder Principal and Director, Mrs. Usha Chopra blessed the students and encouraged them to work hard in life. The Principal Mrs. Vandana Chawla also wished them well for their future. 



      New Era Public School, Mayapuri organized Eco-Fest on 19th January 2019 in the school ground. The Founder Principal and Director, Mrs. Usha Chopra, the Principal, Mrs. Vandana Chawla, and the parents of proud New Erians graced the event with their presence.

      The fest began with great zeal and enthusiasm shown by the students through their models made out of waste materials. The students showcased their knowledge through science projects like object picker robot, wireless temperature station, voice control robot, smart dustbin, edge avoiding robot, hovercraft, etc. Some live workshops were conducted like pottery, adulteration in food items, herbal garden, DNA workshop, robotics workshop, etc. Students also organized a Health Awareness camp. The students of primary wing won everybody’s hearts through their projects and hard work.

      The Director, Mrs. Usha Chopra addressed the students and motivated them to frequently make and use the products made out of waste in order to save our environment. The Principal too, appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students in making the Eco-Fest a success.

      The Eco-Fest concluded with appreciation from parents for the hard work put in by the students in organising the Eco-Fest and for the initiative taken by the school to sensitise students about the importance of conservation.
